Mountains Mobile Minders (MMM)

MMM provides professional child care at low cost to enable parents and carers to attend community meetings, workshops, events, counselling or courses run by non profit groups.
MMM runs at a variety of locations throughout the Blue Mountains.

Fees

Community Groups and Services
Monday to Friday 9am- 5pm $35 for 3 hours or part thereof and $10 for each additional hour or part thereof.

Evenings (Monday to Friday 5pm-9.30pm) and Saturdays 9am-5pm- $45 for 3 hours or part thereof and $25 for each additional hour or part thereof.

Sundays 9am-5pm - $60 for 3 hours or part thereof and $25 for each additional hour or part thereof.

Government Groups and Services
Monday to Friday 9am- 5pm $55 for 3 hours or part thereof and $17 for each additional hour or part thereof.

Evenings (Monday to Friday 5pm-9.30pm) and Saturdays 9am-5pm- $65 for 3 hours or part thereof and $25 for each additional hour or part thereof.

Sundays 9am-5pm - $75 for 3 hours or part thereof and $25 for each additional hour or part thereof.

Cancellation fee for evenings and weekend bookings
The service who makes the booking will be charged a cancellation fee in addition to the payment of the 3 hour service fee, if the cancellation has not been made directly to the MMM facilitator by phoning 0412 697 557. For a mid-week evening booking, the service will need to cancel the booking by 5pm on the date of the activity. For a weekend booking, the service will need to cancel by 5pm Friday before the weekend of the activity. If cancellations are not made within these times-frames, the service will be charged the cancellation fee in addition to the payment of the 3 hour service fee. This cancellation fee is as follows:

• Community Groups and Services
  Evenings (Monday to Friday 5pm-9.30pm) and Saturdays 9am-5pm - $45
  Sundays 9am-5pm - $60
• Government Groups and Services
  Evenings (Monday to Friday 5pm-9.30pm) and Saturdays 9am-5pm - $65
  Sundays 9am-5pm - $75

Monday –Friday daytime bookings: if a service does not cancel a booking at least 60 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival of the booked MMM childcare worker, they will be required to pay the 3 hour service fee however the cancellation fee will not apply.

Who can use MMM?
MMM tries to accommodate all requests for child care but because demand is high this isn’t always possible. When we have more bookings than we can cater for we consider such things as:

• The type of organisation requesting child care – community based groups with limited or no funding with are without other child care access will be the first priority
• The type of activity being run – activities that support families and strengthen communities will be prioritised
• The participants in the group – priority will be given where participants are socially and/or geographically isolated or are experiencing some other form of disadvantage
• Our own timetables and rosters
• When the booking was received. The shorter the notice provided the less likely it will be to prioritise your application
