Parenting Courses

Student

No child comes with a guidebook. Parenting courses can help.

Parenting can be one of the most rewarding and biggest challenges we face as a community.  MOCS offers courses and workshops that can support parenting and caring for children.

Description

MOCS works to identify the learning needs of local parents and carers. We identify and develop courses that meet the gaps in parent/carer learning across the Blue Mountains. We have run traditional parenting courses such as PPP and Indigenous PPP, and have recently ran Scaredy Cats. MOCS is currently working with local practitioners to develop courses that benefit the mental health and wellbeing or parents/carers and children.

MOCS is running ‘Art, fun and feelings’ workshops that help children and parents/carers develop emotional resilience and can be helpful to children who have been through difficult situations or need some support with emotional regulation.  For 6 - 10 year olds and their parents.

‘No Scaredy Cats’ is a course that teaches parents how to help their child overcome fears and mild anxieties and is done over 3 weekly sessions.  For parents/carers of 3 – 12 years.

Who's it for?

Parenting courses are open to all parents and caregivers in the Blue Mountains.
